- 1 Cup Water or Milk
- Dash of salt (optional)
To Make 4 Servings:
- 1 Cup Grits
- 4 Cups Water
- 1/4 Tsp Salt (optional)
To Make 6 Servings:
- 1 1/2 Cups Grits
- 6 Cups Water
- 1/2 Tsp Salt (optional)
What You'll Do
| 1 | Slowly stir grits and salt into briskly boiling water. |
| 2 | Reduce heat to low; cover. Cook 5 to 7 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. |
Microwave Preparation (1 Serving)
What You'll Need
- 1/4 Cup Grits
- 1 Cup Water or Milk
- Dash of salt (optional)
What You'll Do
| 1 | Combine water, grits and salt in 2 cup microwave-safe bowl; stir. |
| 2 | Microwave on HIGH 3 to 4 or until thickened when stirred. |
