Valentine’s Day Mini Message Pancakes
Recipe Yield: approx. 24 pancakes (4 pancakes per serving)
What You'll Need
- 2 cups Aunt Jemima® Original Complete Pancake & Waffle Mix
- 1 1/2 cups water
- Writing icing or gel tubes
- Valentine’s sprinkles
What You'll Do
|1||Preheat griddle to 375°F or heat skillet over medium-low heat.|
|2||In large bowl, whisk together pancake mix and water; stir until large lumps disappear (do not beat or over mix). Let stand 1 to 2 minutes to thicken.|
|3||Pour 2 tablespoons (1/8 cup) batter for each pancake onto lightly greased griddle or skillet.|
|4||Cook about 1 1/2 minutes or until a few bubbles appear on surface. Turn and cook 1 minute. Remove pancakes to wire rack. Cool slightly.|
|5||Place pancakes on plate or other flat surface and pipe messages or designs onto each pancake. Top with sprinkles, if desired.|
Cooking Tips & Variations
Pour batter onto griddle or skillet; immediately add a drop or two of red food coloring. Swirl coloring with toothpick. Continue cooking and decorating as directed in Steps 4 and 5.
Note: Recipe can also be prepared using Aunt Jemima® Original Pancake & Waffle Mix. Prepare batter according to package directions, then proceed as directed in Steps 3–5 above.
