Active families have lots to celebrate. Of course, holidays and birthdays call for a little extra attention, but so do good report cards, school plays and job promotions. Why not celebrate these occasions by preparing a special pancake breakfast for your family?

A Good Report Card
Your children work hard to earn good grades at school, and you can show how proud you are by fixing a special pancake breakfast for them. Create monogrammed pancakes with an “A” or “B” on them by drizzling a thin stream of pancake batter forming the letter into the hot skillet. Be sure to write the letters backwards. Once the batter has had time to brown, pour additional batter over the letter just as you would normally do when making pancakes. When you flip the pancake over you’ll reveal the monogrammed pancake. The Big Game
If one of your children has a big game, help get your player motivated by serving a pancake breakfast the morning before the game. To make the breakfast extra special, make the pancakes in the shape of a football or baseball diamond using a metal cookie cutter or decorate the pancake to resemble a baseball.Completing a Big Project
If someone in your family has just completed a big project at work or school, celebrate the occasion by preparing a special pancake breakfast for them. Make their favorite pancake recipe or use their favorite pancake toppings.Music Concert
Whether it’s a piano recital, school choir concert or band performance, help your musician celebrate by serving a special breakfast. Make the pancakes in the shape of musical notes by pouring a circle and then attach a long stem with the batter. To serve, use syrup to draw horizontal lines across each plate and then arrange a few of the special musical note pancakes on top of the syrup to resemble musical notes on a staff.
